PRAYER COMMUNITY OUTREACH LUNCH

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 21, 2026, tIME: 1:30PM - 3:30PM

Our church family and community friends came together with a desire to do more than simply share information about Christ—we wanted to demonstrate the love of Christ through fellowship, compassion, and service. We opened our doors and welcomed our neighbors to come inside, enjoy a hot meal, and spend time together in a warm and welcoming environment. Guests were able to choose from baked ziti with garlic bread, soup and a sandwich, or both, along with a variety of beverages and snacks. Everything was offered freely and, most importantly, served with love.

This outreach gave us the beautiful opportunity to meet individuals and families from many different walks of life, particularly those living within the Northeast community of Hartford and the surrounding neighborhood. Rather than simply handing out meals or pamphlets and sending people on their way, we wanted to create a more personal experience—one where people could sit down, share a meal, have a conversation, fellowship, and know that they were genuinely welcomed and valued.

Throughout the day, new connections were made, stories were shared, laughter filled the room, and fellowship took place around the table. We were reminded that ministry is not only about what we say—it is also about how we love, serve, welcome, and care for one another. It was truly a joy-filled day. While we are grateful that the mission of the day was accomplished, the greatest blessing was experiencing the fulfillment that comes from simply helping someone along the way. Sometimes a warm meal, a listening ear, a welcoming smile, a prayer, or a moment of genuine fellowship can make a meaningful difference in someone's life. We thank God for every individual and family who joined us and for every church member and community friend who helped make this outreach possible.

To God be all the glory! The work is not finished—it is only beginning. As God continues to give us the opportunity, we remain committed to serving our neighbors, building relationships, sharing the love of Jesus Christ, and being a light within our community.

Matthew 25:35, 36: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
